THE PROJECT "CERTI_CAPO"
A21L AND THE PROTECTED MARINE AREA OF CAPO CARBONARA
A SHORT DESCRIPTION
The project is only one of the 548 selected (total is 709) proposed plans,
for the "Ministero dell'Ambiente" tenders for the Sustainable Development
programs in the A21L. The Villasimius Town in the last years has seen a great
development in tourism activities, with high tourist flows specially in the
summer months.
The marine area of Villasimius town is called,
since September 1998, Marine Protected Area (PMA) of Capo Carbonara. The marine
area, also search goals of protection and safeguard of the Environment and
historicocultural resources, promotes activities to Sustainable Development.
Villasimius for a long time has undertaken numerous initiatives towards a local
development, with the knowledge that the the tourist increase could be long-lasting
in many decades and in the space. Basic condition for this, is priority to
the protection and valorization of its greater natural beauties.
Other actions in this project are: Activation
of A21L; introduction of Environment Plan; and the circulation of a PMA Brand.
