WHAT IS AGENDA 21 LOCAL ?
Agenda 21 is a comprehensive plan of action to be taken globally, nationally
and locally by organizations of the United Nations System, Governments, and
Major Groups in every area in which human impacts on the environment.
WHAT MEANS AGENDA 21 LOCAL?
A stays for Agenda, “things to do”;
21 stay for Century XXI, this century opened with this promise and when these
A21L action will produce benefit; L stays for Local, and to indicate the territorial
dimension of the plan, and the path used to obtain and see the participation
of the local population, by the Forum, the involvement of common stackholder
subjects private and publics and representing all people interest.
